Crossing the Pacific

In the olden times, to cross an ocean, people had to brave the seas for months, battling giant sea-monsters no one ever managed to come across. Nowadays, our only real trouble is choosing between fish or meat.

Preparations:
Being extremely busy with preparations does have its upside. You don't think about what's ahead as much, and therefore worry a lot less.

I'm glad this step is over though. I am exhausted. It wasn't fun, but it was necessary to get to Japan.

Website Updates:
Checkout the MAP page. I am currently working on putting my Current Location, as well as recording my GPS Tracks to show the path I took daily. I also made a Contact Page. Bad thing is that I have had no time to practice uploading and doing the blog via phone. So bare with me in the first days...

Entertainment:
Well, since I won't be able to upload anything for a bit, here are some funny pictures of sign from around the world. I stole them from MemeBase.com.

Flights:
Anyways, like anything that is worth anything in this life, the bigger the prize, the bigger the price. Personally speaking, my price for arriving in Japan is 24hrs-worth of flights and layovers. Here's my itinerary.
Brutal to say the least.

AA and ANA have really silly planes.

Regardless, I can't wait to get to the Wakkanai airport and realize I am all alone on the opposite side of the world! Not sure exactly what part of that excites me the most. Maybe it's the thrill of being in survivor-mode for the next 51 days, or perhaps the anticipation of all the sights that are to come. Japan is a land of stunning beauty. My senses are going to burst from a symphony of foreign tastes, smells, sounds, scenes and just pure awesomeness.

Before I leave for Japan, check out this nice little clip about the first place I will be seeing there. Wakkanai, here I come. =)
