DAY 17: Go West, for Once!

I leave my creepy, nighttime residence and traverse the width of Japan's northern half. The weather is nice and the roads are mostly flat. No problem here. I go west as south means radiation.

Beautiful scenery and farmlands surround me for the length of today's trip. Around noon, I ask for a good restaurant and find a ramen shop. Delicious! A family there is astounded by the length of my travels so they give me a snack for the rest of my day's efforts.

A pretty non-descript day in general. Nothing really bad or good happens. Which on an adventure is very appreciated from time to time.

I decide to reach a far away camp-jo but instead stop early at a beautiful gorge. Here I decide to camp the night. I am writing from inside a bathroom, where all my stuff is charging. Posting pictures and videos while out here in the boondocks has become impossible. The connection is too spotty to upload anything large so I am thinking of writing daily, but uploading pictures and videos when possible. Probably once a week at a local internet cafe. Hopefully, as I reach the more developed south, this will occur less.....we'll see.
