My body is able once again. Not fully, but I am ready to get back on the road. Adventure awaits, but first I have to get rid of my bike. I am supposed to leave by the 1st, but here I am...it's November already and night has fallen again on Fujinomiya. Still here. Seems finding a big box in a small town is a bit harder than I thought. Mostly my fault I must admit. I waited till the last moment to get going. Literally, the day of. It's typical of me to lounge around so much that I forget how to be productive again. But, if everything goes well tomorrow, I will be able to leave either by the 2nd or the 3rd of November to make it to the end of Kyushu, the last island in the south, by the 3rd of December, when my flight back leaves.
Visiting an Old Place
For Haloween, me, Natalie and her friends head out to Tokyo. We are all dressed up (I manage to take Natalie's kickboxing gear, pink shorts included, and combine it with a blonde afro-type wig, and call it a costume). We have a blast till the sun rises on the Tokyo Bay where the club Ageha is located...and if it wasn't for the hundreds of people that bumped into my injured shoulder, I would have called it a perfect night. Tired and hungover, we get on the Shinkansen, and are back in Fujinomiya in a split second.
Packing
It feels like I am leaving for Japan all over again. The getting ready, the to-do list, the packing of the bike etc... I always imagined packing my bike up somewhere down near Sata...but, life took a different course....and you know what, I don't mind it. I got to make even more friends. I will never forget Natalie for what she's done for me. When I make it to Cape Sata, if I make it to Cape Sata, it is going to be in huge part because of her kindness and support. Without her, I would have spent all the remaining funds I have simply recovering alone in some hotel, or would have had to give up alltogether and head back.
Whenever I leave someone, a friend I make here, I always tell them "Once I get to the end, I'll think of you too and the good times we had". Natalie is definitely going to be the first I will think of. I owe her so much. It is strange how life goes sometimes...but really, would you want it any other way?
And now...as soon as I manage to get my bike in a box: TO CAPE SATA, TO FINISH THIS ADVENTURE ONCE AND FOR ALL!
