DAY 7: The Tall Mountains Beyond Sapporo

I need to be short as finding power sources for my phone have been really scarse lately. I will let the pics and vids do most of the talking in this case.

I find myself climbing mountains for hours without end, the trucks and cars roar by as I make my way up slowly.

After reaching the peak, I meet completely by accident Jeremy and Jody, two crazy guys doing my route.....but in only two weeks.

The trek up the mountain is made even more treacherous by the tunnels and bridges where I find myself having to get off the bike to ensure my safety.

I finally reach the peak....and it is all downhill from here - in a good way.

I also meet Hite by accident on the other side of the mountains. Hite is the guy who helped me out the day before.

I reach the lake but decide to keep going. What a mistake, instead of the beautiful view of Tohako, I end up searching for a place to sleep and end up tresspassing into some garden park where I spend the night listening to the forest creatures.

Tomorrow will be better.....
