DAY 8: All of Uchiura Bay

Today I finally leave that uncomfortable hiding spot I called my home last night. It is 5 am! 1 hour too late! I could get have gotten caught. I pack and leave.
Fortunately, I knew the curator of the park.

Finally, the Coast:
After trekking up a couple of mountains, I see the bay. All flat road from here...except, my knee begins to throb painfully for some reason.

Hours of perfect roads become unbearable and I begin to question whether I will ever get to Cape Sata, I either break or lose something each day. It just seems unlikely I will make it at this pace, but we will see.

Food:
I stop at a random joint. I get octopus sashimi and crab. Delicious. I am off again.

Issues:
My main problem now is always energy. I use my phone to blog, to get directions, translation, calling and everything else, no wonder it's always dying. And today my mirror broke, but I may be able to glue it. Even worse, one of my solar chargers stopped functioning, even when connected the wall.

For making stuff that is made for the outdoors, they sure do make it cheap as hell!

Today for some reason, I really miss home. My family, my friends, the predictable days, the comforts! I miss it all.

Anyways, my day wasn' t bad at all in the end. I'm safe in a michinoeki, my phone is somewhat charged, and I managed to push 110km today - a personal best.
I just hope my knee gets better. Goodnite.
